HOW DO I CARE FOR MY WERKMEISTER MATTRESS PROPERLY?
Everyone sleeps a good 8 hours each night, or about a third of our lifetime. No piece of furniture in the house gets as much use as the bed. So it’s important to follow the care and use instructions for our mattresses.
Mattresses should be regularly turned, both lengthwise and crosswise. The handles can be used for turning, but never for carrying the mattress!
Do not beat or vacuum mattresses. Clean only with a soft brush.
A well-ventilated, climate-controlled room is very important. If the humidity rises above about 60% or the room temperature falls below 15°C, dampness can build up on the bottom of the mattress and especially on the spring slats, which will severely impair function and life. It is important to note that closed beds (box beds) and airtight top and bottom sheets aggravate this danger. We therefore recommend regular airing of the mattress.
An incorrect, non-functioning spring foundation impairs the function and life of the mattress. Your specialist retailer will be glad to advise you!
With time, any mattress will adapt to the body and become softer. Depending on the type of mattress and the sleep conditions, this loss can be up to 20% of the original firmness, and does not fall under the warranty.
Transportation, storage and use can cause dimensional changes in elastic materials. A material difference of about 1% in length and width is nothing out of the ordinary.
